The ashtray endcap is made out of extremely thin material, so it is incredibly hard to weld. I am very proud of this weld:

Part of militracks (see previous blog post) was a militaria market. Plenty of scary, uninteresting stuff, but also some very usable stuff. This is an actual WW2 surplus US army pouch:

Now I finally have a place to stow away some tools, a rag and my Gopro frame clamp. I never liked having a screwdriver in my backpack.

Although being a WW2 item, it has no historical value. They had hundreds and hundreds of them at the market and it was dirt cheap.

After welding the exhaust I should have painted it, but there was a rare break in the weather, so I went out for a ride.

When we stumbled across an event called ‘Militracks‘. A short Google search learned that it is an event at the War Museum Overloon with rolling WW2 equipement.

I’m a pacifist, but the vehikels are interesting and entrance for people with a museum card was only 2 euro’s, so we went and had a peak.

I have no clue what it is, but I want one…:

There’s always someone who has to make a special entrance….

One of his coils had failed on the way. Instead of asking to be brought home he asked the roadside assistance to take him to Rusty Gold . He found a coil there and I lend him some tools. 10 minutes later the bike was running on all 4 again.
